I did my lessons this week. I had my first quiz in my new math program and got 100%. Friday I ended up spending most of the day helping my dad put the new roof rack on my mom’s Jeep. It was pretty involved and also ended up requiring a few trips to the hardware store. But it is really nice and sturdy and will be really useful for skiing this winter. We also got me fitted for my own ski boots now that my feet are done growing. We moved the Volkswagen vanagon into the workshop. It is my sister’s project and we are going to help her with the body work. It isn’t as involved as what we will need to do on my mustang so it is a good project to learn on. My dad and I went took shopping as well and got quite a few things we will need. I’m excited about the air compressor powers tools. They are really powerful. We watched the presidential debate.

Week 8
We won our football game this week so that was nice. Only one more game. Football season feels really short compared to basketball season. We had practice three days and the game on Tuesday.
I got my Algebra 2 program all set up and did the first two lessons. They were mostly review material from Algebra 1, definitions and terms and stuff. They changed the layout of the lessons which is nice because they were taking a long time to submit the problems and reload and the new setup is quicker to submit.
We got chicks this week. It is pretty fun to watch and hold them.
I read more in March. I did a few assignments for my American Government class. I practiced bass. I was supposed to have a bass lesson this week but it didn't work out with my mom's schedule so we will just skip this one and have one in two weeks.
My dad hired my brother, my friend and I to dig holes for trees he wants to plant this fall. Our soil is really crappy and hard and full of rocks, so it has been a lot of work.

Week 7
I got this video finished last week after we had already submitted my log so here it is.
This week I finished my Algebra/Geometry Part 1 curriculum. I got a few days off before I start the next level next week.
I read more in March. I did some writing.
In my American Government class I learned about the various ways that bills get proposed and the process that they go through to get passed and become laws/legislation.
I helped my mom stain the wood for the chicken coop this week. I played on the freshman team for their football game this week. We actually won the game. The score was 49-6.

Week 39
Math: I did more proofs this week. I don’t like them at all. The main one was on drawing lines that are radii of circles and proving that they are the same length as other lines. I took a quiz.
Science: I learned about resistors and how they restrict the flow of electricity. Also about different types of circuits like a series and parallel.
History: Butch Cassidy was born in Utah in 1866, as a kid he learned to ride a horse, fire a rifle, rope a cow. In his late teen years he worked as a rancher. After that his first crime he stole a pair of jeans and a pie, he left an IOU on the shop counter with the intent of repaying the shop owner. After that is was lots of crimes and heists. Butch robbed trains, banks, mining company's. His final moments were in a bank after a failed robbery, he and the Sundance kid were surrounded and we're being shot at from all sides. The most likely story is that after putting his comrade out of his misery and then took his own life as to not be caught and put in jail.
Welding: only assignment this week was to fill out a teacher evaluation so I did that.
Sports conditioning: this week was just a chance to make up any missed weeks. I did go on a backpacking overnight trip though. I also went hiking with my family.

Week 38
Science: Science has just been working on mini house, Ive finished all the walls and the lighting. Not sure if it will have a roof but it's pretty cool already. It was fun to build and learn about how real houses are made.
Welding: I had a quiz on different types of welds. He had photos and we had to identify them.
Drone: I turned in my obstacle course video. I worked on some of the other videos.
Sports Conditioning (PE): This week I kept working on my goals from last week. I decided to just do a certain number of reps rather than time how many I could do in a minute.

Week 37
Science: Science has just been working on mini house, Ive finished all the walls and the lighting. Not sure if it will have a roof but it's pretty cool already. It was fun to build and learn about how real houses are made.
Drone: I did the obstacle course in my back yard around our 9 square set. Canvas.
Sports Conditioning (PE): we had to come up with some metrics to measure and goals for ourselves. I did mile run, pull ups, sit ups, and push ups. My mom showed me a route around our neighborhood that is 1.01 miles so that is nice. I don’t love running but I did feel good after finishing so I am going to work on keeping it up. I ran two times this week. I went mountain biking with my friend for his birthday and crashed once. I kind of damaged my brake grip thing on my bike and scraped up my forearm pretty badly, but it was still fun.
Other: I helped my dad install a winch on my mom’s jeep. I also helped him move the big furniture out of his office.

Week 36
Science: In science I learned about alternating current and direct current. With AC current the current fluctuates from negative and positive in pluses but DC does not. Also how some houses get their power from wires underground and some have wires attached to there roof.
Drone: I did my closeup video and turned it in. Canvas class.
Sports Conditioning (PE): I finished watching Supersize me. I answered all the questions and turned in the assignment. We went on a hike to Lost Creek Falls. My mom and dad also took my older sister and I up to Squaw Peak for the sunset since they had taken the younger kids last week. Then we got tacos and Crumbl cookies.

Week 35
Science: Still doing work on my house model. Also learning about electric circuits. Today I learned about open and closed circuits. Building my house is pretty fun, I like all the small parts that I get to put together.
Drone: I took my close up drone pics for the next assignment. Canvas class.
Sports Conditioning (PE): Our assignment for this week and next week is to watch the documentary supersize me and answer some questions about it. I watched the first 30 minutes and answer the questions that went along with that part of the video.

Week 33-34
Science: did more work to my model house. Also did some experiments with static electricity
Math: learned more about the identification of functions. Also had some review from earlier lessons.
History:learned about the reconstruction after the Civil War. Abraham Lincoln had a plan to reconcile the country and make it whole again but then he was shot and the plan was thrown off course when the new president was elected.
Sports conditioning:just had to write a paper and record some physical activity. I did more bike rides this week and a lot of time on the trampoline.
Welding:none. We have an assignment to do some “at home welding” with some sort of medium (Mr. Money used cheese whiz and crackers). I need to do it still.

Week 32
History: this week I learned about the civil war. Something I never knew was that the US actually split into two different places which I thought was interesting. Also learned how the north won and that it was kind of inevitable because the north had a much bigger army and they had a lot more resources.
Math: I had an exam. I also learned about trinomial and that they are just polynomials but with three terms. And I learned how to factor them.
Drone: Canvas class. Finished and turned in another drone video for my class.
Sports conditioning: wrote a paper. Also used an app to track my bike rides this week.
Welding: Did a tool identification quiz. I had to retake it because he wanted us to get close to 100. My final time I got a 97% so I figure that is good enough.
Language arts: This week I just had to write a paper for my sports conditioning class. I did one Writing Course lesson as well. I had to write a part of a story and try to keep the tension going.
