Language Arts: I started my new curriculum this week. Learned some new
vocabulary words and read an introduction to the book I will start reading soon, called Just David.
Math: Went through the materials on how the course will work. Did the first lesson,
learned about how math is the language of science.
Science: Built an electric car to demonstrate forces. I could adjust the speed of the car
by moving a rubber band to different spots on the engine and also by connecting the front
and back wheels with a rubber band to model two wheel drive vs 4 wheel drive.
History: Read about how the first people to live in the Americas migrated here. Also read
about the different peoples and where they lived and what sort of structures they built and
left behind. Watched Crash Course U.S. History episode 1.
Welding: We have been doing a lot of review of safety. Mr. Money showed us some
different welds. We did get to do some very basic welding on our own. We had to make
a resume and turn it in.
Drone Videography: The drone arrived but the class on canvas just opened up and
it doesn’t work yet because all the text runs off the slides.
Sports Conditioning: Rant three miles total this week. We also did weight-lifting
in the gym.
